Belle’s Box – 82

This entry is part 84 of 342 in the series Belle's Box

Read about this series of posts, regarding items in a box originally owned by Belle (Lamunion) Fellows Tinker here. The cast of characters is located here. And, there is an accounting of people about whom I have little information here.

J H Murray & family

John H. Murray was the husband of Belle’s sister, Mary Ann Lamunion/Lamunyon. Marry Ann died in 1899, according to a transcription from a family bible. Apparently the Lamunions didn’t have a lot to do with John Henry Murray after her death, or perhaps he believed they didn’t . Murray died in 1922, leaving three daughters. I’m not sure what happened to the couple’s first born son, William H. Murray, 1875-?. In this communication, John referred to two of Belle’s sisters, Elizabeth “Lib”, and Emily.

There are many cards in the Belle’s collection from the Murray daughters, Etta, Ina and Eliza, and some from Fred Puff, a son of Eliza.
