Belle’s Box D36

This entry is part 366 of 372 in the series Belle's Box

You can read about Belle Lamunion, 1864-1848, and her amazing box of family memories here. Belle married Henry H Fellows, 1858-1905 in 1879 in Ashland Township, Newaygo County, Michigan. She married Charles “Charlie” Tinker on 15 July 1914 in Cadillac, Wexford County, Michigan. The cast of characters is located here. There is an accounting of people about whom I have little information here.

When I took Belle’s Box to a reunion, several people took cards that were connected to their direct ancestors, and I am glad. I did take photos of as many of them as I could before they disappeared. This group of posts are those that I was able to photograph. There were duplicate photos so when I renumbered the photos to titles I could use, I deleted the dupes. Missing numbers do not mean missing items!

We are well and hope the same Frank was down to Lewis yesterday but they had gone to Detroit
E Bisard, your sister

Elizabeth Lamunion Bisard was Belle’s sister, as indicated in the text of the card. I am sure that the “Lewis” she referred to was her son, Lewis Franklin Bisard. Lewis Bisard was born 3 March 1874 in Ashland Township and died 29 October 1948 in Akron, Ohio. He was married three times, to Sarah Miller, 1882-1914, Katherine Morrisey, 1881-1944, and to Emma Gertrude Williams, 1881-1956.

The Frank that visited may have been Frank Abner Fellows, 1895-1969.  He was Belle’s son, her youngest child with her first husband, Henry H. Fellows. He would have been 15 in 1910, so I am not certain he is the Frank this card referred to. The “they” that had gone to Detroit would have been Lewis and his first wife, Sarah Evelyn “Sadie” Miller Bisard. Lewis and Sadie had one child, Ione Bisard, 1902-1998. I have copies of correspondence from Ione to a Lamunion family researcher. Ione married Lowell McKinney and they resided in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
