Belle’s Box – 126

This entry is part 128 of 342 in the series Belle's Box

Read about this series of posts, regarding items in a box originally owned by Belle (Lamunion) Fellows Tinker here. The cast of characters is located here. And, there is an accounting of people about whom I have little information here.

The Postmark on this item is illegible, which is addressed to:

Mrs Belle Tinker
Manton

R.R. #1

Murta H.

Bring cake
pumkin pie

milk to
morrow night
same thing for
? am

I can’t figure out the last word or two. Looks like Belle needed to get baking, and get baking soon. I’d be glad to cook some beans if someone would bring me cake, pie, buns and milk. What do you think?

I pulled out item 105 and after a look at the handwriting, I am sure that this was sent by the same person. With the two cards together, I can identify the writer as Mrs. Murta (William J.) Harden, a one-time neighbor of the Tinker family in Colfax township, Wexford County, Michigan.
