Real World

Yesterday I spent a lot of time scouting for information on Port Bolivar and Galveston.  There isn’t much good news about that area, the devastation is widespread.  Just getting the power on in Houston will require major effort, never mind Galveston.  Much of the Bolivar peninsula looks like wasteland.

I’m grateful that members of my brother’s family survived and are in or near Houston, although I’m sure conditions there could be much better.

There are Google Earth images of the damage, if you have time to poke around.

The short course on Bolivar is here.

Today, I have to get back to my real world, far from the coastline damage.  Let us all pray for the relief workers and government officials; but especially for the people of Galveston and the Bolivar Peninsula.
