Belle’s Box – 100

This entry is part 102 of 342 in the series Belle's Box

Today, I’m posting the one hundredth item from Belle’s box. Just by luck, the senders of the card were easy to locate on the 1930 census of Hart, Michigan. That hasn’t happened too often, many of the senders are unknown to me.

Read about this series of posts, regarding items in a box originally owned by Belle (Lamunion) Fellows Tinker here. The cast of characters is located here. And, there is an accounting of people about whom I have little information here.

To greet you with wishes for
A Merry Christmas
And lots of happiness in the new Year

Hart Mich Dec 21-30

Mr & Mrs Tinker.

Well here we are another
year almost gone. I saw your names
in the Muskegon Chronicle when you
returned home from Grant. I was in Grant
once this summer. Paul has a
good job as operator a the Electric plant
so we are lucky. he has 1 1/2 miles to drive so we
have a new Ford Sedan. I would like to see you
folks drive in here some day. some snow here
but not very cold. write and let us know how
you are. Sincerely your friends Paul & Lula Strong
102 Goldwin St.

Paul and Lula Strong appear on the 1930 census of Hart, Michigan. The address is correct, they reside at 102 Goldwin Street, according to the census, and Paul is an engineer at the light & power plant. If you have an subscription to, you can check it out.

I don’t know how the Strongs became acquainted with Belle and Charlie.
