This site is a combination of my old Genealogy Blog and Granny Pam Blog. I found that I can barely keep one site  up! You may find general posts about me and my family, and also about my genealogical research.

I’ve always enjoyed history, and curiosity about my ancestors origins has been part of my life as long as I can remember. There was a family Bible on a stand in my Grandmother’s home. My Dad referred to it as the “Kaiser” bible. My paternal grandmother’s name was Winnie Alice Kaiser, and I remember a little about her and my visits to her home until she passed away when I was 6 years old. I recently learned that the bible is in the hands of a cousin. She was kind enough to scan the pages for me.

In an effort to learn more about myself and my family, I am researching my way through local records, near and far, in a quest to find out about those that come before me on this earth, in a effort to understand more about them, and more about me.

You might want to check my Ahnentafel to learn about the people and places I am researching.  I have also posted Papa’s Ahnentafel for you to see.

What you find here may be useful, interesting, or just a documentation of that effort.

    i’m a kaiser too!

  1. I knew that. And you are a Johnston also; we are third cousins. Funny that the cousins that I know the best are so distantly related — must be a small town thing.

Do you have any thing to do with the Manton (Fairview)cementry?

  3. No, I have visited there to see ancestor’s graves, but have nothing to do with the cemetery. There is a transcription on the US GenWeb archives at: http://files.usgwarchives.org/mi/wexford/cemeteries/f61001.txt

I have just come across a certificate dated March 22, 1900 stating that my
Grandfather, Olbert Erlin Kaiser was born in the town of Clinton, Ontario,
February 10th, 1874. This was signed by Benjamin Kaiser. Witness Alfred Scruton.
Do you have any information for me about my Grandfather and also the witnesss, Benjamin Kaiser? Thanking you in advance.

Regarding my email inquiry of Olbert Earlin Kaiser . . . we always called
him Albert Earlin Kaiser. Or Alfred Earlin Kaiser. I remember my Grandmother
calling him ‘Alf’. I had spelled his middle name incorrectly as is
shown on this certificate as Earlin.
    Thank you.

  4. I am sending you an e-mail, cousin. Thanks for contacting me!

I googled Zuriel Fish and saw his name under your geology pages. He (as far as I can determine) is my 5th great grandfather. I am attempting to become a member of the DAR and DCW and need to know if he was in the Revolutionary War. Or if any of the Fish were??

    Belle’s Box

I have the answer for Item 121. Mrs. Israel Houlding
Andrew Jackson’s brother, William Wallace is married to Hannah Louise Cox
    Hannah Louise Cox has a sister Sarah b. 1843 d. 1914
    she married David Houlding b. 1829 d. 1917
    they have a son Israel Houlding b. 1867 d. 1939
he is married to Carrie b. 1870

If my calculations are correct, Mrs. Houlding would be the wife of Albertus Carter’s cousin.

  5. Thank you!
