I completely understand what you are saying about accomplishing your research that you already have before continuing to search for more information. I never seem to want to do that!

The hunt is some of the best fun…

Elyse’s last blog post..My New Years Resolutions

  1. I remember seeing John Colletta speak several years ago, and he said that all you people (genealogists) love libraries, and you spend too much time there. The point of that workshop was that genealogists needed to write about their findings. He urged the attendees to write one biography, then another. I did manage a few. I think the geanabloggers are way ahead on the writing thing, but most of us still love the thrill of the hunt.

I’m glad to be able to use a blog to report what I’ve found, and I enjoy reading other gene’s findings. Hopefully I’ll still have time to file…..

    Thanks for reading and commenting

I think almost all of us have some type of organizational chore on our yearly list! A post a day is hard – I hope you are able to meet that goal.

  2. Well, as long as I continue to do several from “Belle’s Box” every day, I can stay ahead. However, my personal blog is suffering right now while we travel. Maybe tomorrow…..

How do you like my new widget, it shows your last post, hopefully generating you some traffic. I’ll add “recent comments to my sidebar on my next house cleaning, that will put them where they can be seen.

  3. “…my research goals would be better served by organizing the information I have gathered…” Ouch! That’s true for me, too. “…most of us still love the thrill of the hunt.” And that’s the reason. Well said!

Here’s to accomplishing our resolutions this year!

  4. Thanks. We can!
