Here are four guys. I do not know who they are, or why the photo was in Belle’s possession.

This post card shows the “Webber Block” Cadillac Michigan. This is a downtown block, fronting on Mitchell street. I have no clue what the year may be, but I do see horses and electric light poles. Look at the muddy ruts in Harris Street, which intersects Mitchell.

I believe I know the identity of this little guy. Since he, and his sister are living persons, I’m going to verify with her next week at the reunion before publishing his name.

Barbara Laila Plotts graduated in the class of 1937 of Grant High School. Barbara, daughter of Laila Carter Plotts; granddaughter of Emily Lamunion Carter and Andrew J. Carter was a grand-niece of Belle.

At first, I was puzzled about the photo studio being in Ypsilanti, nearer to the Detroit-Ann Arbor area. But when I questioned that, M-in-L told me that the photographers used to come around to the rural communities and take the photos. So, that explained that.

Here is a warmly dressed lady sitting on a pig!

Look at those shoes! I’ll bet her feet are cold.

Today’s photos from Belle’s box are children. I have no identifying information for any of these, but will describe the photographs as well as I can.

3-56a

Here is a child and dog, I believe this is a little boy. It looks like the child is sitting on the dog, directly in front of a hedge. There are no markings on the back of this photo.

3-63

this photo of a little girl and a dog appears to be a little older than the previous one. It is a postcard, there is no writing on the reverse side.

3-76

This photo is also printed on a postcard. Cute, unknown infant.

3-81

Another post card. Look at the flowers behind these young men! They look enough alike to be brothers, but I have no clue who they may be.

This photo may be a father and two daughters, or perhaps a couple and their daughter. Stretching my imagination once gain, perhaps it is a three-generation photograph of a grandfather, his daughter and granddaughter. Once again, I have no idea who the subjects are.

Here is a photo of the Silver Creek Grange. I do not know the year. It looks like a woman’s head was cut out. I have no idea who any of those pictured are, but I do know that other copies of this photo are floating around somewhere. If you have one, or can identify the year, or any of those pictured, please contact me .

Venturing again into the great unknown.

This looks like a young couple and a father. What couple, whose father–a mystery of the box.

3-91

A group of ladies, friends, relatives, enemys? Your guess is as good as mine.

3-115

Two children playing. These toys, the nice doll and tricycle, do not remind us of Papa’s ancestors. Perhaps these are the more well-to-do relatives.

3-117

The broken screen and stoop, the worn clothing and siding. This is more like our ancestors. But we don’t recognize them either.

3-120

Please let me know if you know anything about these people, or have matching photos.
