This entry is part 218 of 342 in the series Belle's Box

Read about this series of posts, regarding items in a box originally owned by Belle (Lamunion) Fellows Tinker here. The cast of characters is located here. And, there is an accounting of people about whom I have little information here.

The numbering of these posts had been modified to signify that I am posting items from my archival book two, hence the 2-xx numbering.

Mr & Mrs C.H. Nelson

A database at Ancestry.com, Michigan Deaths, 1971-1996, reveals a strong candidate for the sender of this card. Carl H. Nelson born 30 Dec 1905, died on 8 January 1980, residence: Cedar Creek, Wexford, Michigan.

Cedar Creek Township includes the city of Manton, and is close to Belle’s home in Colfax Township.

Mrs C.H. Nelson

This card must have been sent in a envelope. In 1930 there were plenty of Nelson families in Wexford County, but none in Colfax Township, or in Manton.

I just checked, and my first archival book from Belle’s box has 152 items. That means that I’m more than halfway through the first book. Hurray!
