Belle’s Box – 3-72 and 3-73

This entry is part 302 of 342 in the series Belle's Box

Read about this series of posts, regarding items in a box originally owned by Belle (Lamunion) Fellows Tinker here. The cast of characters is located here. And, there is an accounting of people about whom I have little information here.

The numbering of these posts had been modified to signify that I am posting items from my archival book three, a three precedes the item number.

These are postcards of a young girl.

3-72a

3-73

There is no writing on the back, which is the same for both cards.

3-72b

I do not know if the subject of these cards has any relationship to Belle. The only Iowa connection that I know of for this family is John P. Fenton and his wife Susie M. Burdick. They migrated to Iowa from Michigan about 1887. John Pl Fenton died in Audubon County, Iowa on 23 March 1891, and Susie and three children returned to Michigan on or about 25 December 1891.

Nellie, a daughter the Fentons adopted 4 December 1880, remained in Iowa. She was born 8 October 1873, and married Frank East on 29 June 1891 in Audubon County. I have no further information on the Easts or any family they may have had.

Although these cards were apparently made later than 1891, they might represent a connection back to Michigan for the family.
