Belle’s Box – 2-10

This entry is part 164 of 342 in the series Belle's Box

Read about this series of posts, regarding items in a box originally owned by Belle (Lamunion) Fellows Tinker here. The cast of characters is located here. And, there is an accounting of people about whom I have little information here.

There are no envelopes with the cards, so I can’t tell what year this may have been sent.

Love To Mom

You’ve sewed a million buttons
And you’ve smiled a million smiles
You’ve washed a million faces
And you walked a million miles–
You’ve let me track
around the place
A million times a year —
For Your Special Day, Mom Dear.

The signature, “Frank and Lila” is faint, in pencil, and fading fast.

This is a fairly modern card, so I think it was sent in the late 1930′s or early 1940′s, after Frank and Lila’s son, Loren was grown and away from home.
